"I'm lucky to have her. Michèle represents integrity, loyalty, and a fight": Laurent Wauquiez at a rally in Le Cannet with the support of Michèle Tabarot

He was awaited by several hundred Republican activists. Laurent Wauquiez, the party's presidential candidate, campaigning in the Alpes-Maritimes region for the second time in a month, entered the Recroix hall in Le Cannet on Monday evening alongside Michèle Tabarot.
"I'm lucky to have her. Michèle is the embodiment of integrity, loyalty, and struggle," began the leader of the Republicans in the National Assembly, paying a heartfelt tribute to the MP for the 9th constituency of the Alpes-Maritimes. "The best in France in terms of membership: 1,600. Thank you for your support," he insisted after warm hugs and kisses.
Among his supporters were the mayor of Antibes, Jean Leonetti, and MP Eric Pauget. Also present were the mayors of Le Cannet, Yves Pigrenet, Pégomas, Florence Simon, Mougins, Richard Galy, Spéracèdes, Jean-Marc Macario, Nice deputy mayor and regional councillor Pierre-Paul Léonelli, regional councillor Olivier Bettati, departmental councillors Franck Martin and Didier Carrétero, and Xavier Latour, vice-president of the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolitan area.
Three locks and two pillarsFor nearly an hour and a half, Laurent Wauquiez captivated an audience won over to his cause, nodding and applauding each of his proposals.
"For 8 years I was in charge of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region," he recalled, evoking his record - inevitably positive - before delivering his vision of France today. A country where disorder and insecurity reign. Faced with this chaos, "we must change the system that has become blocked and condemns us to impotence." For him, the only remedy is "to remove three barriers" : "the judges who decide in our place , " "the hell of bureaucracy," "the watermelon associations: green [understand environmentalists] outside, red [far left] inside and those who live off public money to only favor minorities."
"The Republicans' responsibility is to carry out a project of rupture," he summarizes. A project that rests on two pillars: respect and work.
